Yeah Summer! Are you ready to take a break from all that garden/yard work and stamp? Check out this month's projects:
Puzzle Card (2 flavors):
Do you notice the heart is 4 puzzle pieces?
This new die is absolutely lovely. It took a few passes thru the Big Shot to get it 100% cut, but it's soooo worth it! This card is really easy. So easy I felt a bit guilty that I'd be letting you down. I always seem to want to teach at least one little thing with each card…. I guess this lesson is Less is More. I love this card. I think it's plenty fancy!
I know we just used the Magnolia suite, but here it is again. The project box was sitting right beside me as I made these samples. The words included in the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set work perfectly with this card. Yup, Good Morning Magnolia again (… smiles…).
This puzzle card is a bit more traditional type puzzle. I think any beautiful DSP is a perfect answer to the question Which Paper Should I Use.
This card is straight forward… but, I don't know if I was just having a 'moment' or if this will happen to everyone – assembling the puzzle is kinda challenging. I know, you are laughing. You're probably thinking that if that's the hardest part of the card, no problem. Well, to remedy that 'moment', I drew a pencil smiley on the back of the paper before cutting the puzzle pieces. Well heck! The round circle smiley didn't really help in assembling the puzzle. Finally I counted 1-16 on the back of the paper before cutting the puzzle pieces – wha'la… that worked.
Anyhow, this card goes together quick and it's strangely fun.
Royal Peacock Card:
Oh my!
The minute I saw this Product Suite I knew I MUST have it! Look at that DSP! The peacock card in particular it a study in how can I add more and more stuff and get away with more! I know it's heavy and rich in color/texture/details/bling, but hey, sometimes ya just have to go for it. I tend to try and overload my cards with everything and really try to hold back. The peacock card has it all! I think it's Royal (as the stamp set says). The other two cards are purposely simple (compared to peacock). They use all the same products, just easy and simplified. I really like the other 2 cards.
I hope to see you at class!
