My January swap card
Each month I participate in quite a few swaps. Okay, perhaps too many… I'm up late nights and spending many hours over the weekend creating these cards. Okay, so I love it… NOW, the best part of this all is receiving the swap cards back in the mail… As a stamper, can you imagine receiving a Priority Mail flat rate box and knowing what is inside??? My world stops! I stop whatever I'm doing and sit down so I can savor the moment. I seem to have come up with a method for reviewing the cards… 1st look thru quick… 2nd time thru I look to see if any of the ideas will work for a monthly party project (I usually like the colors or the layout or how a stamp set was used)… 3rd pass thru is to try and find a few of my favorite artists cards without looking at the back.
Here's the card I sent off to the swap hostesses (the girl that gather the cards, sorts them and sends them back to all the participants) for January.
This card uses the Bliss Sale-a-bration stamp set. I love this set (okay, you will see it quite a few times in the next few months)! I embossed the mambo & white (already stuck together before I ran them thru the Big Shot) together. The little butterfly is perfect here. I added a bit of bling to the Bliss stamp and to the butterfly's tummy. Very simple, but nice!
Happy Stampin!
