Halloween Banner:
I love this banner even though I'm not much of a 3D paper crafting person. It's simple to hang and put away for next year and it's CUTE! I must admit I had fun making it!!!
We will use some new Halloween stamp sets, washi tape, dsp, bakers twine and framelits from the new Holiday catalog and a few items from the Annual catalog.
Irresistibly Lovely:
This project is easier than it looks. As a matter of fact, this project started out being a Stampin' 101 project. When I looked at it the next morning I admired how pretty it is and also realized it would intimidate new stampers. It became a monthly project.
The stamp set and framelits do all the work for us. We just stamp and color. This is a great time to try aqua painters and blender pens.
The below picture shows the Irresistibly Floral DSP (page 172 top). When you receive your package of paper it's white on white. As if SU covered a piece of white 12×12 paper with white embossing. Once you get the paper you can use sponges to swirl color onto the paper, daubers, spritzers or sponge brayer (all pg 180). The brayer is new to me… so let's try brayer-ing. Okay, it's kinda fun putting that brayer into the ink pad and rolling over the DSP to reveal the design. (…lol, do you remember that small pad with a special marker as a child… I couldn't get enough of those booklets.) Oh, the dsp coordinates with the stamp set.
Both projects are awesome! I'll have everything ready, just need you to come and have the fun : )
I look forward to seeing you this month!
