Did you know we have just a few more days to order from the big catalog AND the mini Occasions Catalog? I saw the electronic version of the new Big catalog and must say it’s quite exciting!!! When we meet this month, I’ll get you your own BIG catalog. We can start ordering from it June 2nd. This is also a great time to go thru our current catalog and get any item that is retiring. Keep in mind, once Stampin Up is out of stock, it’s gone forever!
Here are our May projects focusing on Dads and Grads:
Secret Panel Card:
This project was intended to be a man card… but I snuck in a girly card too. Momma made this card (as seen here) as her swap card last month and I LOVE it.
Here is our second project. We will be using clay!!! It’s soo much fun and adds great dimension to our projects. The clay is in the mini catalog, along with this alpha/numeric mold. Let me know if you know what letters you’d like on your project… I’ll have them ready for you. It’s fun making the letters/numbers yourself, but there’s a bit of dry time. Once the clay is dry, you can color it by putting it into the ink pad (yep, your fingers might get a bit inky) or coloring it with a marker, blender pen or aqua painter. You can also use a reinker, add a drop or two of ink, knead the ink into the clay and have a solid colored letter/number. I’ve also coated the colored letter in crystal effects. Doing this, it gives your letter a crisp, finished look.
This card is much nicer than photographed. Here it looks almost too simple. In real life, it’s quite nice.
Car club girls… this one is for the boys in your life.
PETE… Emma’s boyfriend … I’m ready for his birthday. Ummm, since Pete and Emma don’t subscribe to my blog, perhaps this should be for my “man in brown”… oh, how us stampers love UPS!!!
The letters are somewhat ‘steel’ looking. The sides of HB are black.
My son’s birthday is in July. I now have 22 birthday cards for his birthday… lol…
Notice the Lowell Red Devils colors??? Anyone have a graduating senior this year?
Now my son has 3 graduation cards for next year…
I think this one is my fave!!!
I do like this one too (my son’s 4th graduation card). This stamp set (it made it into the new big catalog) BYOP, is so much fun!!! All the stamp sets used this month are very versatile.
So I’ve learned why I make you sooo many samples each month. First of all I’d like to provide choices in color in case you really do not like ‘pink’ (for example… lol…Carolynn…). With color choices, you can make many of our projects into a girly or man card. Also, when using designer paper, the project is so versatile! I’ve found that if there are 10 designer paper choices, stampers use only the designer paper used on the samples. Hey, sometimes it’s hard to visualize using a paper unless you see it on the card… I know.
