Here are this month's projects. I had so much fun designing them and I don't mind saying that I LUV them all… Each project has a special story or bit of inspiration behind it.
We will make 10 cards (5 designs – 2 of each design) and all designs will have many choices. We will use LOTS of new sets and accessories from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
You can stamp at your own speed. The room is reserved until 6p and there's plenty of food, drink and beer available. I will set the projects out on a table and you can make the projects at your own rate. It's great to buddy up with a friend and enjoy the projects together.
Vibrant Poppies:
Ahhhh… California and all the natural poppies! This card was inspired by going for a long walk on the bike trail between Hazel and Sunrise. There are poppies popping up everywhere. They are so bright and vivid. Unfortunately I haven't seen any of these wild colored poppies (yet) other than orange, but it's certainly inspiring. Driving to work they are on the side of the freeway just waiting for the bright morning sun shine to pop them awake.
Modern Medley:
This project came about because of my stampin room wall paper! It's black with glossy black swirls… just like this background. Adding a splash of color like the flower is all it needs.
Laurie:
Laurie Hancock! She made the nicest birthday card and gave it to me last week. I love it! This is the same layout and stamp set… I just threw in a few additional color options (she made mine PINK!!!) and so pretty.
So Girly and Vintage:
This card is much prettier in person. It's so frilly and vintagy. This was the last card I made/designed and absolutely LOVE it!
Butterflies:
This card uses the Natural Composition designer paper (the same paper we used last month for the birdy project). The paper naturally doesn't match any of the SU colors… it's not crumb, sand or brown sugar. I figured brown sugar was the closest. Once it was sponged with brown sugar the project really came together. Hey, they say neutral colors go with everything! They MUST go with each other, right? Well my neutrals here sure show off the glowing butterfly(s).
So that's it for this month's projects. Each one of these cards I'm following my heart. They might take a bit more time to make but I think they are worth it. If I were a stamper and coming to an event… this is exactly what I'd want. I can't wait for you to do them!
Let me know if you can make it.
