Stampin With Janice in March

Once a month I get to be a stamper girl (rather than a demo) and it's so indulgent and fun!  

Here are the projects we made with Janice this month. 

An Orange Thank You

My flower is talking!  Is that a California Poppy?  We used the stamp set Happy Watercolor.  Notice my little brown sugar skirt at the bottom of the card?  What a nice card.  Again, Janice offered choices in paper colors and ribbon.  Here's my creation.

Gold is the new Metallic

Do you remember when only gold was the 'in color'?  Then it changed to silver and if you wore gold… that was old and part of the past?  Well!!!  now both metallics are in and Gold is on it's way back!  Stampin Up is taking advantage of this craze by offering quite a few fun items in the mini catalog.  There is foil paper, vellum, washi tape, white bakers twine with a metallic twist, and brushed metallic papers in the big catalog  I love white on white too…

Summer Starfruit and Soft Sky BIG Bow special fold card

Janice provided color options and I changed my paper colors/choices so many times I was driving myself crazy!!!  I started out with a monochromatic card using blue and white…  A few of the pieces became lost because it was blue, blue and blue.  So I decided to sponge the edges of the papers to help show the different layers.  That helped… until I saw a special piece of designer paper sitting on the bottom of her supply box hidden from view of everyone!!!  It was perfectly cut showcasing the tree.  Okay, now I'm looking at the summer starfruit pieces…  yup, I change my color scheme to use some starfruit paper.

Summer Starfruit isn't everyone's favorite.  I do like it…  Maybe not a card that's all this color, but bits and pieces or layers I do like.  Unfortunately the color is on it's way out as it's an 'in color' and will be going away June 1st (oh… the new catalog will be released then and a new group of 5 'in colors'). 

 Oh, that ribbon…  well, here's the picture…  I like my huge honkin bow.
