The New Catalog ‘Special Project’
I invited stampers over to my place to pick up their NEW CATALOG! I had a special project ready to share. Here are a few photos of completed projects:
This is the candy wrapper project… or the microbead project. I collected candy foils (example: Hershey's kisses come in a foil wrap- these are perfect for this project) before having everyone over. I even picked up a few packages of candy that had a foil wrapper to share with the stampers as we made the project (in case they became hungry as we were working). Well… I'd admit, I had a few bags of foils from other times I made this project. The key to making an interesting image is to have lots of different color pieces of foil.
Next step is to stamp an image, color it in, cut it out and put it in versa mark ink. Then you put the inked image into clear embossing powder and emboss it. That makes the colors POP and look shiney.
We used lots of sticky strip to attach the foil pieces, and more sticky strip for the clear micro beads.
I also had a few miscellaneous accessory type items to add interest to our project.
The above butterfly project wasn't complete… but so pretty I just had to share. Notice the light blue and black glitter on this project? Where the glitter was, the micro beads weren't (hum, there is probably a better way to describe that…)
Here's a close up of the microbeads on the card.
Thank you to those of you that stopped by…
Happy Stampin,
