Denise’s Valentine’s Day Event
Denise sure knows how to have an event!!! As I walked into her home, I noticed all these cool cards on display. I admired them because each one was a true work of art… and each one it a one of a kind over the top type cards. Guess what??? We were making them! Wha hoo!
Here is the bag she made including all our materials for class.
Cute, huh?
Check out the fringe ontop of the heart… that's ribbon that we frayed. Do you see that little cupid dude??? He MOVES!
His skirt (hum, what do you call a man skirt… toga?? nah… kilt??? nah… ) is made from crumb cake seam binding spritzed with water and crumpled up and then dried. (stamper language here…)
This is what we use to make cupid fly across the card! Major cute going on here!
I love this card too! The envelope is made from waxed paper (household type waxed paper). We used a big shot die to cut the envelope.
We used a sewing machine to zig zag on the printed designer paper… nice effect!
Hey, that little white ruffle under the designer paper is a piece of punched white paper accordian folded to create a ruffle… I like that!
Guess what I found inside my goodie bag??? This treat had goodies inside… um, there are names for those satin little things we used for flower centers, and mini flowers…
Denise used the matchbox die to make these adorable treats.
OMG… I absolutely LOVE this project. Yes, it's a card… but I'm thinking it might be better used as a decoration!
This flower is made using the owl punch. We cut off his feet and sponged the piece. Eventually, those punched owls became a flower – a Denise Flower.
After all those over the top yummy projects… does this one look simple? NOT! This photo is deceiving.
Ka-bang! Sweet, huh?
The birdies are chirping together.
That latice die… what a creative use…
Alicia (Denise's daughter) and I made our way thru the project. Spending the afternoon with her was as much fun as making all these projects. I'd take a repeat of that day anytime.
OH, you all have heard my Red Velvet Cupcake story… right??? This was the day Janice finally tried one of the best cupcakes in the world outside on the curb. Her life hasn't been the same since! lol…
Happy Stampin,
