Needle and thread…

Do you know anyone that is just naturally gifted with it comes to EVERYTHING???  I know a few.  Mary stamps the most incredible pieces of art.  She quilts and has creativity coming out of her every pore! 

I'll never forget an evening right after I met her and she started stamping… I was delivering a SU order to her.  It was late at night as I pulled up to her home.  She met me outside by my car carrying a mail order catalog and a few other items.  Keep in mind, Mary just started stamping…  she was still in that 'deer in the headlights phase'…  I handed her the SU order and she mentioned she had something she wanted to share.  She opened magazine and detailed all the things she could create using SU by incorporating all these ideas into cards.  That was just ONE page folded over in the magazine!!!  If you know Mary, you know how alive and bubbly she is about our hobby.  We stood under the street light and chatted for a long time…  she was smiling from ear to ear…  I was so happy to find a friend that enjoys the same hobby…  Wow, here we are many years later and she still is going at it 100%+! 

Whew, that was a fun journey there…  Here's a card Mary made combining her two favorite hobbies. 

The more I look at her card, the more I find (I could list all the little steps I find, but would be embarrassed if I skipped one).  I can not imagine how long it took to make this card.
