Girlfriend’s Weekend… a few more projects to share (Donna’s and Momma’s ‘special project’)

Donna's pumpkins – Need I say more?  Sweet, huh?  We used punched circles and punched ovals for the pumpkins.  I dressed up each of my owls differently using designer paper.  Love it Donna!

Momma's black embossing project.  Momma made an additional project for us to try.  When I saw it in the box, I had to pick it up and figure out the technique (hum, that is a cool/fun thing to do … as a stamper, can you pick up any card and recreate it using the correct  techniques?).  This project was a stumper.  It took me about a minute to grasp it.  You know the embossing folders?  You versa/brayer ink up the flat side (not the bump side) and put your designer paper into the folder.  Run it thru the Big Shot.  Once thru the big shot, the versa ink is only on the flat side (not on any bumps).  You put your designer paper into black embossing powder and heat.  How cool is that???  Hum, I need to have us do something like this, huh?

When you apply the embossing powder to the versa mark… it seems that the embossing powder isn't quite covering the dsp enough… I could still see the paper design under the powder… BUT, once you heat the powder – the coverage is fine!!!
