Stampin with Janice – September 2010
You know how I love going to Janice's and stampin each month! This visit was just as fun as all the others… Janice wanted to make simple and nice projects this month.. here are the projects she prepared for us:
Vintage (my favorite color combo!) We used markers direct to the stamp. Sponged around all the edges.
Flower pot:
These colors (concord/pear) together are her favorites – I see why:
The little flower pot is made from the ornament punch, then textured with my favorite embossing folder. Don't you love the new pearls?
Pansies:
Remember how to make watercolor roses using shimmery white paper, spritz of water, an aqua painter and reinkers? We used that technique on a 1/4 sheet of paper (not stamped or embossed… just plain 'ole shimmery paper). The paper curled with the water spritz and therefore the ink/aqua painter was rolling off the sides.. BUT, that's how the colors blended. We used 3 ink colors (not sure.. I'm thinking saffron, eggplant and mambo- or some deep pink) to color the paper. We let the paper dry (the curl relaxed a bit) and used the butterfly punch to make the pansies. Next we layered the butterflies and used a rhinestone brad to attach. Lastly was adding the whiskers (sounds cute… sure there's some technical word for this black lines… not antlers or antennas.. you know!) with a black marker. My friend Wanda helped me with whiskers. She did a smashing job, huh?
Happy Stampin!
