Mission Impossible!
Mid year I created a personal goal of completing ALL incomplete projects in my stampin room ASAP.
This task is bigger than you could imagine… especially since I was on a mission to use up ALL my retiring paper before it was too old (and I still had coordinating ink pads, markers, ribbons… and I didn’t let them go thru garage sale…). If you saw my stamp room tour, you might have noticed that HUGE stack of paper going away. All that paper became projects, ready for my time… it’s just sitting in my stamp room (looking overly cluttered) waiting for a bit of attention. Okay, all the clutter is SO driving me crazy! As I work my way thru the large projects, I throw in a few single card projects (like from Stamp Camp). Last night I felt like I was revisiting Stamp Camp as I made these projects. I still love them! Janice and I came up with some very nice projects.
I didn’t make the projects exactly like we did for Stamp Camp… I used some different sets… but still love them:
This one uses the set Pendant Park… WOW, I really like that set. Originally, we embossed the tree. This time around I inked the stamp in Baja, went around the edges with Marina and again around the edges with Chocolate.
This project was supposed to have an embossed bird. I couldn’t remember the name of the set to pull out the bird, so I used a set sitting right in front of me, Dreams DuJour. The outside of the circle was colored with the crumbcake marker 2x. Going over the paper the second time made the color more consistent. Since I was sponging the card, I thought I’d sponge the circle too. OMG, that made all the difference. I love how it turned out.
Ahh… the Bees. Because I’ve cut out soooo many of these cute little happy faced bees in my time, this set doesn’t bring me as much joy as it should (kinda like Bubble Queen.. ahhhkkk!). The set is darling. Those little smiles are darling. I wasn’t about to stamp, color and cut them out again… The project is still cute.
The awning! Still like this project… very easy. The photo doesn’t show the glossy cherry or the glittered frosting…love it!
I’ll post a few more projects from my Mission Impossible task soon…
Happy Stampin!
