It's Sale-a-Bration time! SU's best sale of the year! For every $50 you spend, you receive a free item from the SAB mini catalog. Speaking of mini catalogs… the new Occasion's mini catalog is incredible! SU has their own version of clear stamps, they have released their new punch design along with all those new stamps… just to mention a few favorite things.
Here are the February projects… it feels like spring, huh?
Chocolate Bunny:
When I saw this stamp (it is a single stamp in the back of the Occasion's mini catalog), I knew I had to get it. I love Easter especially for the chocolate bunnies, eggs… okay, everything chocolate. Okay, this project has a hidden little twist. Are you ready? The hidden bunny has some funny words in the bottom hidden corner. You probably noticed his ear already has a bite out of it… shhh, that's all I will say for now (for those of you that know where I'm going with this, I have 4 choice words/phrases). Sometimes, I make myself laugh!
Joy Fold:
Seeing this fold, does it bring you joy? I wanted to use spring colors and was in the mood for light blue and chocolate. Unfortunately, I didn't have any dsp laying around primarily with those colors. As I pulled out the dsp I DID have, and started thinking about other color combos – below is what happened! At first I was feeling a bit non-springy… BUT as I started assembling the projects, I really liked the combos. You know I'm always looking for a good 'man card'… this is definitely there. I also wanted to revisit water coloring. Janice gave me a cheat sheet for sharing that shows all the water coloring techniques. I wanted to have this a water color project. We will be water coloring with blender pens and aqua painters. We will have ink pads, water color crayons and water color pencils. I hope you give them all a try when you make this project.
Butterflies:
Ahhh… don't need to say more…
Okay one more comment about the butterfly card above – it uses the new Vintage Vogue stamp set, Very Vintage wheel and the Beautiful Wings embosslit (all from the new mini catty). That embosslit will cut and texture 5 (yes, I said 5) butterflies all at ONCE! Oh, the punch is a SAB item… spend $50, get it for free AND that punch will be in the upcoming big catty (effective July '10).
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Happy Stampin,
