Annual Catalog and Retiring List Coming soon!
Coming Soon!!! April we will have the retiring list AND early May the new catalog goes LIVE. Contact me if you need a new catalog (free to anyone that orders regularly).
This project is more just for inspiration. This stamp set is shown in the new Annual catalog - but unfortunately, been pulled from ordering due to quality issues.
We received this stamp set as a gift for participating in a SU demonstrator event. I do love the set but agree that the stamped image isn't equal to the catalog photo/stamp set photo case insert. If you have any nature type sets, I'm sure you can easily adapt your set to something similar.

NEW CATALOG Product! I think I've come around to liking all these animals lately. Remember the Meerkats, then the pigs AND zebras AND donkeys AND frogs? Each time I figure I'd pass it by... but somehow end up loving it!
There are two designs in this Project Box - Velveteen Circles and Pop Up.
Not that I like chocolate... but what does that brown circle behind the Party Puffin look like?
YES!
Reeces Peanut Butter Cup? ... smiles...
Pop Up Card.... wait, wait, open it!
The blue card above - does it look like all those Party Puffins are preparing for a surprise Birthday Party? I don't know why I get such a kick out of seeing just their feet as if they are hiding!
Baby Puffin - it she hiding the fish gift of saying 'mine, mine, mine' like on Nemo (that seagull)?
Are you feeling festive? Want to add a bit of party to your card supply box? Let me know if you would like this box.
Tuesday, May 4th @ 10a - potluck Cinco de mayo style
Thursday, May 6th @ 1p
Saturday, May 8th @ 1p
The new catalog becomes effective May 4th!!! Yay! There are soooo many nice new items included between these lovely covers! Here are a few projects to get you in the stampin mood. Each May, I try to spend the month making manly (or gender neutral) cards. What do you think of these cards?
If you have a chance, watch the videos before class.
Less is More, More or Less Card:
I love, love the simplicity and calmness of this card. I thin it could be perfect for any occasion.
Trying to keep with the 101/Simple theme is a challenge for me. I always want to add more or bling the darn thing. These cards are perfect just as they are shown. Here are a few more options. Each new sample became more and more fancy. Not that the whiskey sample is fancy, but it's more work and has more 'stuff' on it.
A Cut Above Card:
Boys! Say the boys in your life don't exactly look like this... that's okay. The message of boys doing boy thing is represented. It's funny, Tony noticed the lawn mower card. We have a routine of me going to bed and leaving my electronic devises on the little table by my chair. He gets up EARLY every morning... he just does... at 5a! Auuuccckkkk! He turns on the coffee pot and charges my phone and tablet. I get up ten minutes before he goes to work and they are perfectly charged. He has been going into my room for SIX years (wow, time flies) now and doesn't comment on a thing other than all the tiny pieces on the floor. Yesterday he didn't really comment, but suggested the lawn mower be green/yellow or orange/black. I'm assuming they are his preferred equipment brands.
.... so, did I do the lawn mower justice....
He doesn't have a hammock (I don't know any guy that uses a hammock...) but it sure looks comfortable. I think the drink should be lemonade, but I know he likes melon margaritas 'on the rocks'. Yup, green drink.
The images and words in this set are great. The card is perfect for a Birthday or Father's Day. I do know many guys that love their lawn mowers and yard equipment as much as I love my stampin' room!
So.... here's to the Guys! Manly May is a month to make LOTS of guy cards to get it thru the year.

Here are this month's Technique Projects
If you have a chance, watch the videos before class.
Here are a few photos of each project.
Best Year/Best Plaid Card:
Plaid - who knew!!?!! I always think of plaid as masculine and used for kilts! ... ok, maybe warm blankets too. What do you think?
Do you notice that lovely ribbon? It's NEW!
These flowers are from the DSP True Love. Just cut and color.
I love this card! I tried a few different flowers before settling on using the DSP and am quite pleased with the final cards.
Seashells Window Card:
This card was copied from Frenchie Stamps. I added a few additional touches. It's so unique and different. She didn't put the vellum or colored frame inside... you can do that too.
We will sponge color onto the stamp using sponges. I LOVE the multi colored shells. OH!!! a bit of white frost shimmer paint makes the shells glow. Just a bit on inside art and WhaLaaaa, we are done.
Whew wee! That's lots of pieces and lots of assembly and lots of .... love, for one card!
It's beautiful, huh? I copied it from Anne Marie Hile. I pinned it FOUR separate times. Because many things are retiring from this product suite, it's time for me to play!
Do you notice how the flower is stamped in different colors? How long since you colored directly onto the stamp, huffed, the stamped? Oldie but Goodie!!!
That splattering of champagne beautifulness... that's champagne mist shimmer paint. This will not be a Project Box. It is sooo pretty I had to share. If you are liking it as much as I am, I will help you make some of your own. Below are the products used and what sizes to cut your paper.
This project can be made using any DSP and images/stamps you have.
If you have a chance, review the videos before class. You will know all the tips and tricks in advance.
Here are this week's projects.
Floating & Fluttering Card:
Do you remember the first time you heat embossed something? I certainly do!!! Heat embossing sealed the deal with me and stampin. I wanted to emboss EVERYTHING (and did)!
Ya, I should have used my embossing buddy... ya...
In the video, while making the purple butterflies card, I applied a bit toooo much Wink of Stella. Well, mistakes happen to all of us, right? The inside purple butterfly is VERY sparkly.
This bundle has so many good things. Remember the card we did a few years ago where we made stamped pieces seem like they are floating. It was a great card and sooo much work. This stamp set does most of that work for you!
We will use just the detailed butterfly die and the word label. This card is a 101 card and very easy. It's great for any occasion.
Did you know VersaMark ink can be used as a watermark with stamps? Usually we use Versa Ink to heat emboss. If you don't put the powder onto the wet ink, the ink will slightly darken your paper. See the soft suede paper under the butterflies above? Grace's Garden Card:
Why did I hold this set for so long and not use it? HAKNOW!
I love this bundle. I'm so happy we will be using it in April. If you have any interest, get it soon before it's gone.
Notice the rounded corners? I've had the trio punch for a long time. You can use it on your card if you like the look (I do).
The Brick & Motar embossing folder is a perfect fit here. To highlight a few sunbleached bricks, I used a dauber and white ink. The white ink might take a bit to dry. Do this step last and assemble. The white ink might smear and transfer if you ink heavy.
The little kitty and bird - OMG, adorable!
If supplies remain after class, they will make rounds as a Project Box.
