April Projects (Boughs & Blossoms and Hello Lady Bug)
Class at noon
Saturday, April 9th @ Lowell Fire Station
Tuesday, April 12th @ Bethesda Lutheran Church
Thursday, April 14th @ Henderson
Both of my videos cut off before I finished the card. My iPad was overloaded with videos and photos… darn! BUT, you will still get the idea for both cards watching what was recorded.
Are you ready for the new Annual Catalog? I saw the pdf and it looks wonderful. I will get my order of them in about a week. With a new catalog we also get the list of retiring product. If you have a long wish list, compare it to the retiring list. Let me know if you want anything sooner than later. Once items are added to the retiring list, they are available while supplies lasts (and many items are discounted).
Both these projects say Spring!!! Here are a few photos:
Boughs & Blossoms Bundle Card:
This card has a bit of fussy cutting, but it is so pretty I hope you take a few minutes to make it. I LOVE that vellum doily behind the flowers.
A little tag to share your sentiment.
Hello Ladybug Bundle Card:
I could not wait!!!!!! to make this card. I thought spring (maybe summer would be better) is when I want to see ladybugs. Here it is!
This is a bundle! The stamp set bundled with the punch Ladybug Builder. Just hand cut that perfect green leaf.
Ok, I will admit a whoops… I cut the b/w striped paper too short. I connected it and needed to somehow cover that cut. I did my whoops on EIGHT pieces. Yup, perfect placement for that bakers twine. BUT all the remaining pieces (for class) are the right size. You don't need to put your twine at the bottom… lol…
Do you like the leaf Granny Apple or Garden Green? I like both. One sample has an Old Olive leaf.
Making the ladybug and using the punch is fun work. I used my Black Blends (light and/or dark) to fill in the ladybug body. Stamping with memento black is almost perfect, but if not, coloring the body with a Blend makes it look perfect.
I hope to see you next week.
