Best Delivery Card:
Have you ever wanted to see your name on a billboard or the side of a truck like an advertisement? … or maybe send a fun message in the sky behind a plane or on the side of a truck? Here is your chance. This card is a good girly or masculine greeting. The word sets are FUN!
Have you ever had a dress with pockets? It is a bit magical and really nice! Somewhat like a robe with pockets… a simple luxury that makes things good.
The navy truck card is perfect for someone moving out. I thought about Evan going to school in Portland and then later, moving into his OWN home! This card is just right for him. It is to the point, masculine and not too mushy.
Slim Line Cards:
Oh my!!! I LOVE this card. I always appreciated seeing slim line cards and stayed away because I do not have any fancy sized envelopes. Anyhow, how do you know where to stop when it comes to slim line. If I were to take a piece of paper and fold it in half, that would be too long. The whole subject of slim line cards was loaded with reasons not to make one. ANYHOW, Stampin' Up came out with dies AND envelopes to make things easy. I decided to make my own envelopes in hopes of making this subject a bit more tangible. SO…. here they are.
I've always loved black/white with a splash of color. I absolutely LOVE this card.
Here is the envelope template. In the Envelope Video/Tutorial I show you how to make the envelope. I use Basic White card stock (8.5×11) and it is a bit thick, but really, really nice. When you hold these cards/envelopes, you can feel the quality of it all. It is a bit heavy, and really nice.
This is the second option. I copied the mini catalog. It is much softer and prettier in person.
Notice the frame on the front of the card. There are three frame colors: daffodil, flirty and white. When you cut pieces for the card front, you need 3 pieces of paper to get all 3 color in your chevron pattern. Therefore, cut for one card and you have pieces for 3 card fronts. I'll explain this better at class. Bottom line, you need to keep ALL those pieces. They are needed for your project and your neighbor will want the remaining pieces.
Blending pens! We have used blending brushes, sponges, daubers, aqua painters, Blends alcohol markers and this is time to revisit blending pens. Do you notice the slight hint of color for the flowers/leaves?
We will make the slim line envelope too.
Whew! These projects will be fun!
