Chocolate Foils/Microbeads meet Hey Chick, Garden Wishes and Suite Sampler

February 23, 2021
Well…. well…  microbeads!

When I say that, do you cringe or perk up with curiosity?

Many of us tried microbeads a few years ago and ended up with WAAAAYYY to many chocolate foil wrappers and a few really, really nice cards.  For those of you that have played with microbeads in the past, do you view chocolate foil wrappers the same?  Have they become more an alternate color option that would be a great contribution to your rainbow of foils?

Here are a few pictures to begin to explain this project.

Now that you have scrolled thru the photos, you probably have an idea what microbeads are, right?

Microbeads:
Tiny clear glass balls.  Not so much beads – but tiny glass balls.  When we did this project a few years ago a few local craft stores carried tinier microbeads.  We had a hard time finding them as they were packaged in a multi colored package with 5 other solid colored microbeads.  We want just clear glass beads.  Carol mentioned wanting to do microbeads again and I went looking.  I thought I found the right thing but these are a bit larger.  They still work just fine.  These are used for weighed blankets.  Hey, who knew??!!  In this project box, I have packages for sale if you want your own supplies.
Orange Tape:
Oh, there is one additional component to this project – orange tape.  The tape is super sticky and 100% clear.  I probably shouldn't call it orange tape.  The removable plastic liner is orange.  I have tried many other adhesive products and keep going back to orange tape.  The trick is trying to find it as wide as you can.  If you have 1/2 inch width, you will be laying quite a few strips.  The microbeads are

The microbeads are sold in various quantities.  The orange tape looks to be sold in very large quantities.  If you want just a few rolls, call Tape Jungle and they will sell smaller quantities (I ordered 3 rolls @ about $20 each).  I imagine getting a 3" width would work great!!!
