October is DSP Sale month! As a stamper, I never have enough… lol! This week's projects are two of my absolute favorites. Ya know how you get a certain outfit and save it for the perfect time? These projects have been waiting in my mental back pocket for months. Actually, the Bambi card has been waiting for a year!!! This is the time.
If you have a minute to watch the videos, you will have all the Tips n Tricks before class.
Poinsettia Petals Card:
Some cards are meant to be hand delivered. Sure, it will fit into the envelope, but there are LOTS of layers and it's kinda heavy. All that aside, it's REALLY pretty. As a kid it was suggested you wear white and white tones, or vanilla/cream and warm tones. Certainly mixing these is a mistake. Guess what? I like it! So much, my bedroom focuses on mixing those two colors. Guess what else? This card does that exact thing… white and vanilla.
The card goes together easily thanks to Stamparatus. The red berries and super easy – again, thanks for Stamparatus. THEN that beaded flower center – oh my!
Okay… TMI here… remember Back in the Day when you wore navy, black or brown heels? All of a sudden navy disappeared. Okay, fine. Then brown disappeared? Good thing I stopped wearing them and looking for them. It's crazy! Ya, TMI.
Natures Beauty Card – I call it Hello Lovely
Look at that face!
Last August this stamp set came out. It was on the back flap of the Holiday mini catalog. Stampin Up donated $s for each stamp set sold to Mental Health Awareness. That October we lost my sweet nephew Jon. I knew I needed to get this set. We used it last year and happily it made it's way into this year's catalog. Last year a stamper made this card and posted it on FB. I copied the card and kept it in my gallery. This card makes me happy. This card is very simple. This is the perfect time to make it. Unfortunately, I could not find or identify the artist that put it together. I know she's German as the greeting was German. If anyone has any idea, let me know as I'd love to give her credit. Anyhow, long story…
We will do a water color wash over the white background paper (inside too) for a bit of interest. Ya, the wash makes the white paper bow and get wavy. During the video I decided it's best to use two rounds of adhesive (not liquid glue) to help flatten the warped white paper.
Do you love this as much as I do? Some reason I'm captivated. Hello Lovely!
I hope to see you!
