Here are the projects for April. Putting it mildly, I got lost in happy stampin'/creating world. I made quite a few samples. I kept saying to myself… "just one more sample"…
Sheltering Tree:
This stamp set is in the mini catalog. The minute I saw it I knew I'd be purchasing that set. It is a '2-step stampin' set. The more I looked at the set, the more I liked it! The tree can be without leaves or the color of the leaves can be changed depending upon the season (including pink and red for Valentines Day). Oh, imagine white embossed on navy paper for snow… I also like the little bike. You get to choose the bike frame color. Stamp the black tires and handlebars, then (2-step) stamp the frame in a different color. There is a sweet little swing to add to the tree if you'd like. The swoosh for grass is perfect too. What confirmed I needed this set is the 2-step stampin' tulips/stems… so sweet.
Now, imagine class time rolling around and you have everything in front of you… what are you going to stamp? That question explains why there are 12 samples. LOL… nothing like creating a peaceful little world on a card. I guess I'm really feeling it…
The rake is part of the stamp set… but I thought it would be used only for fall stampin. My boys looked at all the samples and commented that a rake is missing. Haha… they didn't know what the set looks like. I asked why would you use a rake in the spring? "Make a card with a tree, swing and rake leaning against the tree. That is the picture of work complete and time to relax." They said this after spending half a day outside doing yard work. SO… the rake card is manly brown, uses manly linen thread instead of pretty ribbon and has 3 manly brown candy dots at the bottom.
This is the inside of the first 2 cards. All the cards have inside art.
The pink ribbon card will be perfect for a little girl.
The first card reminds me of Bambi and 'the thicket'. So peaceful… The yellow ribbon card is my fav… see the inside art?
Ahhh… the two bikes… newly weds or engagement??? : )
Window Sheet Card:
We are using window sheets two months in a row! Again, there are quite a few samples. We will be using two stamp sets from the mini catalog: Mother's Love and Sweet Laughter. As I made all these samples I thought of making each one for my Mom (luv ya Momma!). This design is good for any occasion card – just change the image/words. You can use the stamp set Thoughts and Prayers too.
These two cards are colored with an aqua painter or blender pen. These two are SOOO cute in person (photos do not do it justice!).
These two cards are what I had in mind before making the projects. The seem a bit busy here in the pix, but in person, they have lots of personality.
Okay, maybe that tree is my favorite… I can't wait to see what you do with them!
