Dexter Stampers – Kerry is hostess on Sunday, September 29th @ 10a
Ahhh! Wait until you see the September projects. I kinda went crazy with options for you this month. I guess you can say I had fun!!!
Flower Card:
This project has a great fold. The card is closed by the pretty ribbon bow. Great news – we will use the stamp set Secret Garden that has a coordinating framelit set. That means NO cutting!!! Notice the designer paper on the left? The crumb cake colored designer paper??? We will make it using the resist technique. I can't wait to show you how to do this.
SU just came out with two new framelit sets (circle card and label card) to make a swing card. This month we will use the circle card framelits. I must say, the framelit set includes LOTS of additional framelits (like coordinatinging labels, arrows, words, heart, banners…). Before these framelit sets came out, I've spent hours cutting/scoring paper to achieve a swing card. I love them. It's hard not to hold that card and make it swing.
This card can be girls or a manly card depending upon your choice in designer paper and stamp. We will water color (blender pen) the image. I stamped the greeting on the back of the swinging circle in most cases, but the greeting stamped on the card itself will allow you room to write your own message. LOL, this can be a good thing if you are like me and seemed stumped when it comes to writing a long message inside cards.
This next pix shows how the card swings. Apologies for the pix being sidways. I lost my camera and am using a tablet (um, need to work on editing photos!)… but you still get the idea.
