April Swaps (3 of 5)

May 10, 2012

A few of you have asked if I make all these cards…  I'd love to say yes – caz I'm really proud to be associated with all the artists and have a piece of their work in my hands… sure, I'd love to call it mine!

I participate in a few swap groups for a few reasons.

People: One of the groups (STS) I personally know each member and adore them… each and every one of them.  I admire their work and their eye for color, style and work.  One of groups (WOW Swap) is a group of girls from across America.  There are a few regular artists that participate every month and therefore, I am getting to know them thru their work – BUT we've not met in person.  Many of the stampers participation is not consistent, but there seems to be around 20 exchanges.  And the last swap is formed with each new SU publication.  I don't know any of these people, but I do know they were all hand selected and invited based on their card front swap at SU events (like Convention or Leadership).

Inspiration: Imagine receiving your mail and finding a buldging package full of cards!  If you know me, you know that is what makes my world go around (okay… almost!).  I use the swaps to help design our monthly projects.  I usually take 3 or 4 of the swaps and create one project.  I use one for colors, another one for layout, another one for a cool punch technique and the last one for the stamp set…

MY stampers: I gather all the swaps in my 'Aunti Mary' swap bag and bring to our gatherings.  If I enjoy these cards this much, they should be shared.

Answer:  Nope, I don't make all of them, but enjoy all of them.

Here is the 3rd group of swap card photos:
