Military I have moved cards…
My neice Tamara (she'd the one that came out and provided massages during one of our Big Yella gatherings last year) has a dear friend that's gone into the military. Her friends is a bit home sick! Tamara asked me to make some 'I've Moved' cards to be included in Tamara's care package.
Also, Jenny's (my neice) boyfriend Matt has also gone into the coast guard recently and graduated over the holidays… we are so proud of him.
SO, challenge is to find a stamp set (I didn't have one handy… there are a few in the catalog) that would work for a 'moving' card. Then, come up with a design that would be easily mailed, and of course, a design I liked. Oh, I wanted to get these 2 projects done NOW! Tamara called Thursday afternoon… I wanted to work on them over the weekend. AND, I knew I'd be seeing Maggie (Jenny's mom) Saturday night for dinner. Nothing like a deadline. (Oh, one more deadline to throw in there.. after dinner Saturday night, we were going to stop by another's friend's home that also just moved… I made her some different 'moved cards'. Guess what I was doing ALL Friday night and Saturday day? … that was said with a grin / big smile.)
Just having words on the white strip was boring. I threw in this medallion thingy hoping that would work. In an off way, I kinda liked it. I'm not sure that the stamp(s) under the brad really go with military, but I like it. I couldn't fix it with bling! Waz a girl to do?
Tamara received her package of 'moved' cards and is very happy… I'm sure Matt & Jenny will like them too!
Happy Stampin!
